Replacement PHE Plates — OEM-Compatible Spare Plates for All Major Brands
Mangla Rubber Technologies is one of India’s most experienced suppliers of replacement plates for plate heat exchangers (PHEs). With over 43 years in the heat exchanger aftermarket, we supply precision-manufactured spare plates that are fully compatible with all major OEM brands — ensuring your PHE performs at peak thermal efficiency with minimal downtime. Whether you need a single replacement plate to address a localised failure or a complete plate pack for scheduled maintenance, our technical team can identify the correct plate profile, material grade, and gasket configuration for your specific heat exchanger model.
OEM-Compatible PHE Plates for All Major Brands
We stock and supply replacement plates compatible with plate heat exchangers manufactured by Alfa Laval, GEA, Tranter, Sondex, Hisaka, APV (SPX Flow), Funke, Schmidt Bretten, Thermowave, SWEP, Vicarb, Mueller, API, Accessen, and other leading PHE manufacturers worldwide. Each replacement plate is manufactured to match OEM dimensional specifications — including port diameter, plate thickness, chevron angle, and gasket groove profile — so that it integrates seamlessly into your existing plate pack without any modification to the frame or connections.
Plate Materials Available
The choice of plate material depends on the process fluid, operating temperature, and corrosion environment. We offer PHE plates in the following metallurgies: AISI 316 / 316L Stainless Steel — The standard choice for most industrial applications including water, steam, oils, and mild chemical duties. Offers excellent corrosion resistance at a competitive price point. Titanium (Grade 1 & 2) — Essential for seawater cooling, chloride-rich environments, and aggressive chemical service where stainless steel is vulnerable to pitting and crevice corrosion. Widely used in marine, desalination, and chemical processing applications. SMO 254 (6% Mo Stainless Steel) — A cost-effective alternative to titanium for moderately corrosive chloride environments. Commonly used in pulp & paper, offshore, and brackish water applications. Hastelloy C-276 — For the most demanding chemical environments involving strong acids, mixed acid streams, and high-temperature corrosive media. Used in pharmaceutical, fertiliser, and specialty chemical plants. Nickel 200/201 — Excellent resistance to caustic soda (NaOH) at all concentrations and temperatures. The material of choice for caustic evaporator and concentration duties. If your application requires a specific alloy not listed above, contact our technical team — we can source plates in virtually any corrosion-resistant alloy to meet your process requirements.
Why Replacement Plate Quality Matters
PHE plates are precision-formed components. The chevron pattern stamped into each plate creates the turbulent flow channels that drive heat transfer efficiency. A poorly pressed plate — with inconsistent corrugation depth, inaccurate port alignment, or incorrect thickness tolerance — will compromise thermal performance, increase pressure drop, and reduce gasket sealing reliability. At Mangla Rubber Technologies, every replacement plate undergoes rigorous quality checks including dimensional verification against OEM drawings, surface finish inspection, and gasket groove profiling. We do not compromise on plate quality because we understand that a plate heat exchanger is only as good as its weakest plate.
Complete Plate Pack Assemblies
For planned shutdowns and annual maintenance, we supply pre-assembled plate packs with gaskets fitted — ready to install directly into your PHE frame. This eliminates on-site gasket fitting time and significantly reduces turnaround during maintenance windows. Our plate pack assemblies are available with your choice of gasket material (EPDM, NBR, FKM, HNBR, FFKM) in clip-on, glue-on, or snap-in configurations to match your existing setup.
PHE Plate Testing & Inspection Services
In addition to supplying new replacement plates, we offer a comprehensive range of plate inspection and reconditioning services: Dye Penetrant Testing (DPT) — Non-destructive testing to detect surface cracks, pinholes, and fatigue damage in existing plates. Essential for identifying plates that are no longer safe for continued service. Ultraviolet (UV) Crack Detection — High-sensitivity inspection using fluorescent penetrant and UV light to identify micro-cracks invisible to the naked eye. Plate Cleaning — Chemical and high-pressure water cleaning to remove scale, fouling deposits, and biological growth from plate surfaces, restoring heat transfer efficiency. Regasketing — Complete removal of old, degraded gaskets and precision application of new gaskets using our in-house adhesive systems and gasket fitting expertise.
Industries We Serve
Our replacement PHE plates and plate packs are supplied to customers across India and globally in industries including sugar & distillery, chemical processing, dairy & food, power generation (thermal, hydro, nuclear), marine, HVAC & refrigeration, oil & gas, fertiliser, pharmaceutical, and steel & foundry applications. We are approved suppliers to the Nuclear Power Corporation of India (NPCIL) and serve over 400 industrial customers who rely on our quality, technical support, and fast delivery.
